Anchor Assignment Rules
- New exchange with DR 50+ site: Use partial match or branded anchor
- New exchange with DR 30-49 site: Rotate between all anchor types
- New exchange with DR under 30: Use generic or naked URL anchors
- Guest posts: Use branded or partial match in author bio
- Resource page links: Branded or naked URL
Monthly Review Checklist
- Export current anchor text distribution from backlink tool
- Compare actual distribution to target percentages
- Identify any anchor type that is over or under-represented
- Adjust upcoming exchange anchor text requests to rebalance
- Flag any unauthorized anchor text changes by partners
